Last week was the entertainment apps, this week we are doing a review on recording and tracking apps for babies/toddlers.

The iphone/ipad has changed all of our lives and why not use it as a tool to help you get through those first couple of years, with wonderful tips and advice they could save you when you’re at the end of your tether.

Total Baby

Picked by Apple as a Staff Favourite and featured in Parenting, babytalk and the Wall Street Journal. Total Baby is the #1 Baby logging and tracking application on the App Store. It will help you log and time all aspects of your child’s care through a smart and sleek interface that makes tracking easy and fun.

This is a great app if you are going to have your 2nd/3rd child as trying to keep track of everything when you have a toddler on the scene and baby brain kicks in, this will tell you when baby needs his/her next feed, sleep, doctors visit etc.

Wonder Weeks
Price: £1.49
http://www.thewonderweeks.com
https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/baby-wonder-weeks-development/id529815782?mt=8

A few of our mums already use this app and I know Ellen has used this for her baby Sofia.

In a nut shell this app is a calendar explaining the development of your baby: why your baby is fussy, sleeps poorly and eats less during set times of development and how you can help your baby. It’s not gospel but they have done a lot of research into thousands of babies and it’s created by a mum!

Baby Sleep
Price: £0.99
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/baby-sleep-lullabies-teddies/id348793475?mt=8

If you need to brush up on your lullabies, then this is a great app for parents and babies. You can create playlists and then set the play time from 3 minutes to infinite.

Great for travelling, trying to get them to sleep on their own or just to stop them crying! The graphics and interface are wonderful and it even plays tunes when the phone is locked.
