Transport is always a popular topic. All the children use some form of transport every day to get to school and they had a wonderful time telling us about it.
The children had a delightful time around the building site we had set up in the tuff tray!
The children also had lots of fun running cars through paint to make some wonderful pictures, using different types of vehicles.
In our cooking class we made some health bread cars and then some lovely chocolate cars!
As lots of the children had been on holiday over the Christmas we spent a whole day talking about planes. As a group we learnt a new song about planes and then practiced flying our planes we had made during the day.
We had band practice! Mrs Charlotte tried to remember how to play all the nursery rhymes on the keyboard, which turned out to be a great success!
In yoga we have been refining our yoga positions and all love the tree pose.
As a group we discussed whether the type of transport we have used was on land, sea or air.
In science we made our very own robots that moved. We had great fun making them and even more fun showing our parents.
We finished off our transport topic with a visit from the fire brigade. The children got to sit in the fire engine, try on the firemen’s helmet and have a go at using the fire hose!!
We also celebrated Guy’s 4th birthday with some delicious cakes.
